Originally from Palm Harbor, Florida, and now residing in Clearwater, Violet has nurtured a lifelong passion for photography. Her journey began at age 13, experimenting with her grandfather’s old film cameras and learning to develop prints in a local darkroom. By 16, she saved up to purchase her first DSLR, launching her into the world of digital photography. Over the past sixteen years, Violet has dedicated herself to refining her craft; attending specialized workshops and masterclasses, and working on a variety of personal and collaborative projects. She eagerly experiments with new equipment, software, and techniques to stay at the forefront of an ever-evolving art form.
Violet’s creative inspiration is deeply rooted in the breathtaking landscapes and rich biodiversity of Florida. She frequently explores the state’s captivating parks, expansive shorelines, and historically significant sites, drawing inspiration from the interplay of light and color in natural settings. Her portfolio features sweeping vistas at sunrise, delicate wildflowers after a rainstorm, and dramatic weather rolling in over the Gulf Coast. In addition to nature photography, Violet is fascinated by the unique character of architecture, especially the ornate details and craftsmanship of vintage buildings. Her regular trips to Chicago have enabled her to document both the city’s iconic skyline and its lesser-known architectural gems, offering new perspectives on urban environments.
As a photographer, Violet embraces a diverse range of subjects. Her experience spans astrophotography, capturing the Milky Way in remote Florida dark-sky preserves, intimate portraiture, evocative fine art compositions, candid pet photography, and vibrant street scenes that tell stories of everyday life. She approaches every project with curiosity and care, collaborating closely with clients and subjects to create authentic, meaningful images.
